We always had a feeling that our daughter may have had dyslexia, but we were reassured by her teachers that everything was normal. Unfortunately, we waited until Year 6 to seriously consider an assessment outside of the school.
From the very beginning, David’s communication was not only professional, but also caring, personal, and genuinely kind.
We had fewer concerns with our younger son in his early years, but as David explains, the signs of dyslexia are complex, and boys often present very differently to girls. After being so pleased with the process and outcome of our daughter’s assessment, we booked our son (Year 5) in two years later without hesitation.
The Assessment Practice are the kind of educational professionals you can only hope to find. Thank you, David, Joanna and Amy.
From the very first encounter with David and the team, I was put at ease. This process wasn’t something we had done before and David and team could not have done a better job. Communication was very clear in terms of the steps leading up to the assessment and on the day.
My son really enjoyed the assessment and left feeling proud of what he had done. He loved having a chance to see the animals whilst I was taken through what had been found during the assessment. David and the team could not have done more for me and my son and would highly recommend. We are now using the recommendations at home and in school.
It may be a bit of a cliché to say, but I don’t often write reviews. However, I feel compelled to do so in this case.
If you’re looking for an assessment like the one we needed for dyslexia, look no further! David and his team were incredibly professional and approachable, demonstrating a wealth of knowledge, understanding, and patience throughout the process.
On the day of the assessment my son was very apprehensive, Belinda & David helped my son to feel at ease throughout ,even intuitively offering one of the lovely dogs sit in with him during.
The home from home atmosphere meant my son was able to fully engage and feel safe, even saying to me after that he would happily return again and he now would like a pet parrot!
The report we received was thorough and truly person-centred. It gives my child a strong foundation to access the support he needs to overcome the significant barriers he has faced.
Thank you again for everything!
